Selektia white truffle in Japan thanks to FOODEX

The Foodex Japan Fair, held in Tokyo, represents the most significant agri-food fair event in Japan, with a strong commercial appeal and a leading role in promoting and disseminating the agri-food sector throughout the Asia Pacific region. Selektia Italy participated for the first time in 2019 and subsequently at Foodex Japan 2021, receiving great acclaim for all its White Truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico), Summer Truffle (Tuber Aestivum vitt.), Bianchetto Truffle (Tuber albidum Pico or Tuber Borchi Vitt.), Uncinatum Truffle (Tuber Uncinatum Chatine), and Fine Black Truffle (Tuber Melanosporum Vitt.) products. We are exhibitors at the fair during this year to strengthen existing partnerships and create new ones.

From March 7th to 10th, Simone Calugi brought the prized White Truffle of San Miniato in Tuscany to the East. He presented and allowed the tasting of some of our most famous products, such as the truffle sauce, the butter-based specialty with truffle, and the summer truffle carpaccio.


New products at Foodex Japan 2023

If at the Marca in Bologna and the Pitti Taste in Florence, we have tasted our new fresh butter, in Japan we have officially presented the new seasonings, four different flavors to make each dish special:

Truffle Flavoured Seasoning: Seasoning with summer truffle (Tuber aestivum Vitt.) that will give an extra touch to each dish. Ideal to add at the end of cooking. Add a gourmet touch to any dish with our truffles.

Seasoning with Pistachio and Truffle: Seasoning with summer truffle (Tuber aestivum Vitt.) powder and fine pistachio grains. Give your dishes a boost, perfect for both sweet and savory dishes. Excellent also in combination with fish dishes.

Seasoning Porcini Mushrooms and Truffles: Seasoning with porcini mushrooms and summer truffle (Tuber aestivum Vitt.) powder. Add a touch of flavor to your dishes quickly and easily with a sprinkling of mushrooms and truffles. Also perfect to add to your sauces.

Cheese, Truffle, and Pepper Seasoning: Seasoning with cheese, pepper, and summer truffle (Tuber aestivum Vitt.) to season your dishes. Ideal for pasta, risotto, fish, and meat. Can also be used as a thickener to make sauces tastier.

Soon we will leave again to introduce the famous White Truffle of San Miniato around the world, participating in international fairs in Europe and around the world.
